Being Zimbabwean:

Posted: 11th March 2015 by admin in Remittance methods

The first thing that comes in mind when you hear about the Republic of Zimbabwe is our beloved father of the Nation. Beside the efforts by the media to label him as the centre of the economic meltdown, poverty etc, we ignore all that because the blame game because history is a story of events, with praise or blame.

What about our economic freedom? Questions are raised, but look at other nations that are well developed the likes of China. Such nations have history of economic freedom to its citizens. Remember When Moses traveled to the promised land, not all reached there; point to note.

Years of colonial education — for all its faults and the much-lauded post-independence experience with its purported pluses — turned us subservient. A Zimbabwean will not revolt because he doesn’t want to get his hands dirty.

That is the job for the uneducated, we think. Civilised people sit down and talk things over, if you get my point. In West Africa, for instance, one bad move and the machetes are out. The wars there are so bloody it’s scary. No wonder those places are in a sorry state, in a violent sort of way.

What about our brothers and sisters living out of Zimbabwe? Many think its a privilege yet not knowing their adoration is despair because they have not been there.

What about indigenization?

We learnt our lesson very well.

Scattered at all four corners of the globe, Zimbabweans are performing miracles wherever they are. Everywhere you go you find Zimbabweans excelling in whatever they are doing from rocket science to mowing the lawn. What we touch turns to sold, though we also have opened ourselves to the most insidious forms of exploitation. Because we work harder than everyone else and commendably too, we are victims of xenophobia and petty jealousy.

The reality is that if God wills Zimbabwe’s troubles to go away, and those who skipped borders were able to come back home to family and friends, some economies I know would surely collapse. I dare pray for that day not so much to cause a global economic catastrophe, but to get all Zimbabweans where they all belong . . . back home. Oh how I wish my dream would come true!

But then, it could only be a dream.

Let me foreshadow and say the next generation will view more explicit stuff on tell-a-vision(TV). I struggle to to glance at it for more than a second because each and every time i try i see a semi naked lady. Okay lets say music videos, isn’t there a better way of showing ladies rather than the nudity they show.

The reason why i named it tell-a-vision is because it shows illusions that the society will not learn from but rather destroy the morals of an innocent young child who grows ups following the memes they see. So where are we going?…. Our African daughters have adopted the culture they watch on TV. Adapting to a changing world should not change one’s culture or morals but what i have noticed is they feel left behind. What will happen to  child who always watch semi naked ladies lap dancing when she grows up. It is something that is normal to her when she’s an adult.

A woman holds the future of this planet, without her, man alone can not conceive, same as without a man, she can not do the same. Lets keep our culture. What went wrong?…. What’s is happening?…. What’s going to happen?……
Its shrewd enough to guess the motive behind these “things” they show on TV.

Digital Marketing In Zimbabwe

Posted: 2nd March 2015 by admin in Remittance methods

As Technology is booming in Africa and many have access to smart phone, the question is- How are business people taking advantage of the advancement when making their products or services???

May be we should look at some aspects they need to know about digital marketing to help them grow their business:

In simplistic terms, digital marketing is the promotion of products or brands via one or more forms of electronic media. Digital marketing differs from traditional marketing in that it involves the use of channels and methods that enable an organization to analyze marketing campaigns and understand what is working and what isn’t – typically in real time.

Digital marketers monitor things like what is being viewed, how often and for how long, sales conversions, what content works and doesn’t work, etc. While the Internet is, perhaps, the channel most closely associated with digital marketing, others include wireless text messaging, mobile instant messaging, mobile apps, podcasts, electronic billboards, digital television and radio channels, etc

Why Digital Marketing Is Important

Digital media is so pervasive that consumers have access to information any time and any place they want it. Gone are the days when the messages people got about your products or services came from you and consisted of only what you wanted them to know. Digital media is an ever-growing source of entertainment, news, shopping and social interaction, and consumers are now exposed not just to what your company says about your brand, but what the media, friends, relatives, peers, etc., are saying as well. And they are more likely to believe them than you. People want brands they can trust, companies that know them, communications that are personalized and relevant, and offers tailored to their needs and preferences.

Lovely Zimbabwe

Posted: 27th February 2015 by admin in Remittance methods

Despite the fact that our economy went down the drain hole, Zimbabwe remain one of the beautiful countries in the world with lovely blessed people and very significant landscape when it comes to nature.  Zimbabwe is located in the southern part of Africa and it is a landlocked country with south Africa on the southern side, Zambia on the northern part, Botswana in the western side and Mozambique in the eastern side, in between Zambezi and Limpopo rivers

In overview Zimbabwe got its independence of the black majority rule in April ,18 1980 from the white minority British rule of Ian smith. Zimbabwe first black president, Robert Mugabe who is still the president, introduced one and only bill that was successful, Zimbabwe Educational Bill that states that every child has a right to education. Despite of decade of economic crisis, Zimbabwe is leading the literacy rate in Africa, coming in at 91% in the latest survey. It shows that people in zimbabwe they put education forward.

According to the latest survey, it is estimated that 60 to 70 percent of Zimbabweans belong to christianity and the 30 percent belong to the traditional or local religion we call chivanhu. Due to high numbers of christianity, lead to formation of large numbers of different churches, with different doctrines so you have to choose which to go to. Gospel music has topped the charts in music industry  with lots of upcoming artists compared to previous years, which signify God’s present in the country

Zimbabwe has a number of tourist attractions divided equally among four sides of country. Victoria Falls which is one of world natural wonders located in the western side of the country, along side with Hwange national park, Kariba dam on the northern side of the country along side Zambezi valley that offers one of the highest bungee jumps in the world , and there is eastern highlands where there is Vumba mountains and Nyangani mountains that provide beautiful scenic drives and views. Great zimbabwe, house of stone on the southern side of the country, is a ruined city on the southeastern hills of zimbabwe near lake Mutirikwi, Gonarezhou national park alongside  situated in the south eastern lowveld of Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe is just a nice country worth a visit and you won’t regret it.

Yes!!! I said it!!! I went there!!! Hollywood has messed it up for the rest of us. Love and the idea of being wooed has been over romanticised. We have been robbed of the ability of understanding and appreciating the simpler things in life.

Love and life does not quite happen in the same packaging as we are given in the movies. I know one could say to me why am I taking things so darn seriously. The things we watch the words we hear always end up playing into our psyche. When we don’t quite get the experiences that our minds have been exposed to and love and life does not quite hit us with the same magnitude. We walk around feeling less accomplished and wanting more than that which we are given.

We feel cheated and let the people in our lives live under the pressure of trying to outdo an experience out of a $100million motion picture budget, and something tells me the odds of that happening are slim to none. Is there hope that we can be repaired? I don’t know….because reality as much as we might want it to, it does not sell. And when I say reality I do not mean real housewives or the Kardashians version of reality.

Life as it happens bland and dull. Let me not be misunderstood I don’t want some over-zealous bunch of anarchists to go and burn up Hollywood. Its great, I love me a good movie I even drop the odd tear or ten. But fact remains as a people our brains record what we watch and now we are somewhat frustrated by our own life experiences and that is mainly because Hollywood is subconsciously shaping our understanding of love, life, romance and the whole shebang.

Dear My valentine

Roses are red, violet is purple, honey is sweet and you beautiful,

You are breath taker, i love you like my next heartbeat,

You are my sunshine rain, brightness of my life,

You take my cloudy days away and bring darkness alight,

Everytime i see you, you make my heart goes guubu guuub,

beating fast more and rumbling like death roller coaster,

you bring hope in my life when i’m feeling low and down,

You love is everlasting like mother’s love,

it protects like a fatherly love,

very innocent laughter like newly born baby,

eye catching smile and captivating beauty that make me  forget my name

mam you drive me wild like wild rhino,

let me be your valentine and take you to the deepest part of my love garden,

in a valentino chariot  and celebrate the day under a purple Jacaranda tree.

Valentines and all that L.O.V.E

Posted: 14th February 2015 by admin in Remittance methods

So my friends on social media have been buzzing much on that love theme… what will I do for him, what will he do for me the discussion around getting the perfect gift and perfect hangout has been dramatized to a whole new level.  Even the cinemas are catching on to the craze with the release of the 50 Shades of Grey movie.

So what is is about love that gets people sooo excited…. one could say there is nothing quite as liberating as allowing yourself to feel and to be owned by an emotion so great that you willingly allow yourself the possibility to get hurt.

But I am going to make a very bold argument and say regardless of what we say, or what schools of thought we come from when love emotion overwhelms your heart you really have no option but to succumb to its nature and dictations.

So what is it I’m trying to say if not really saying much ado about nothing…. I’m saying don’t bother trying to decode the meaning of love and understand just how it will affect your behavioral pattens just let that emotions own you… enjoy the ride and pray the love train won’t crush.
