Loss of Zimbabwean currency

With the change in the economic situation in Zimbabwe we have gone from the use of our national currency to other national currencies.Gone are the days when we had our own money as a nation that we had was unique to us.The Zimbabwean dollar used to be a very strong currency when we were younger a hundred dollars was such a large amount of money but alas as fate would have it ,this was not meant to last.We had the beautiful coins and notes before beginning at $2,$5,$10,$20,$50 and $100 notes. This was when times were better in our country. As the situation grew worse we then changed to use bearers cheques ,who would have thought we would be counting billions let alone trillions as part of our currencies?! Be that as it may eventually one wonders what would happen until the eventual fading of the use of the Zimbabwe dollar. The introduction of the use of the South African Rand ,Botswana Pula and American dollar  brought a bit of stability. One would then however argue that the use of other currencies has made us lose our identity and pride as a country. We had dollar notes with our balancing rocks for example which are part of our great Zimbabwe heritage. Now we carry money bearing the history of other nations and not our own.I guess its food for thought one can only wonder if the currency used can be linked to the identity of its people.
